BOTE is an interactive, slightly AU Post-DH roleplay currently set in 2003.
PLOT is constantly being developed by members and evolves naturally. If you want to do something, you can! As long as it's valid in the Potterverse and you develop it realistically (new Dark Lords don't just spring up from the ground), you can do it.
TIME is quicker on BOTE - 6 real months = 1 roleplaying year.
AU slightly. Potterverse canon (concerning laws of magic, creatures, etc.) still applies. But we are AU in the sense of 'what would happen if we stuck original characters in the books?'. They are the variables that can change things (and have already).
CANONS & ORIGINALS are always both accepted and are both integral to the plot (originals possibly even more important).
BANS just don't exist. Or we have a ban on having bans. Either way works.
KEY FEATURES:
» well established, but easy to jump into or jump back into if you've been away » active classes & student club meetings (fun, but optional!) » roleplayed quidditch games & mass events (for both students and adults) » interactive gringotts & shops system (with pretty buttons) » aiming (and succeeding, according to some) at creating that 'hogwarts vibe' » international settings (various schools, shops and locations around the world)
0ur journey began with a great wind hailing from the north which
shattered our world into pieces.
Lives were lost,
families torn apart, house pets were left on their own
without any humans to care for them.
Since then we have prevailed in the face of
the darkness that loomed over us day by day. We have thrived in this new world
and our story has only just begun.
In the Summer of Year 1 a destructive tornado
ravaged the isolated village of Foxcroft killing many of the humans, the rest
fled never to return.
It has been 17 years since the tornado that
ravaged and changed the Village forever.
It is Winter, Year 18
