Personality: Lemon is a fairly passive cat. He doesn’t do much unless it gets him anywhere, although he sometimes now goes out of his way to either fight or flight. It all depends on the situation at hand. He falls in love very easily… It’s the climb out of it that will always give him trouble. While he doesn’t care about much about other cats in general, he does have some key traits for leadership. Going down the list as seen here, Lemon basically fits the bill. When he does actually bring himself to care about something, it’s accomplished swiftly and fully. While his name is odd and may throw people off- He’s a charismatic & intelligent fellow who is great at protecting cats. He’s not the most enthusiastic, but hey, he’d fake anything if it meant having a love life that didn’t end in ruins.
History:
One year ago, a fire was started in a building that a large colony called home. Only ten or so cats made it out alive, leaving ninety buried somewhere in the rubble that stopped burning eventually. One of these cats was the second-in-command, a simple tom who went by Delta. The most significant losses to the now tiny group was from Kin, who lost two of her three kits, and Phoebe’s loss of her father. The most significant loss to their survival, however, was their leader- They would never see Lemon again. The group would eventually disband and/or die out once they figured out there was a murderer amongst them that was picking them off one by one, as some real-life version of the game Mafia- But that’s a different story continued elsewhere.
Starting off on a weirder note: Lemon had always had a weird obsession with fire. He got his pelt signed as a kit from getting too close to a forest fire, but it never got to him. He should’ve gotten the message then- But alas, he never did. Another fragment of his story that I won’t fully be covering is how he became leader of the clan- It began by saving one of the colonists from a fox. The protecting them all while the leader at the time had been highly contagious with a deadly disease- Lemon found them a mostly habitable house to live in. Helping out with smaller things, like playing with kits and grooming burrs out of cats fur. Everyone loved him- But his heart only belonged partially to them. It wasn’t long after he saved the Chausie before he fell head over heels for the tom. The tom that cared about him, was charismatic, and basically anything else you could want out of someone. Lemon never really wanted to lead the colony, he just wanted to be there for Delta. But Delta would love a strong leader, maybe? He was certainly keen on the idea of Lemon becoming the leader. How could Lemon say no. It was a weird thing, his love for Delta- Not run of the mill, he would actually put his life on the line for that cat- And did, numerous times.
As it would happen, Delta would become Lemon’s right hand man. They slept together, and Delta was… “affectionate” with the sable cat. Everything was picture-perfect. The colony ran smoothly, Lemon had gotten what he wanted from the leadership position. Until Kin joined up. She blended in for a month before revealing that she was pregnant with Delta’s kits. Lemon’s image of the perfect Delta- Faithful Delta, the tom that cared- was utterly shattered. He did his best to avoid the cat from then on… But the weird thing was that while Delta openly admitted that Kin was his mate, he still tried to persuade Lemon that things were just the way they had been. Lemon didn’t agree, and over the months that Kin was pregnant this feeling grew and grew. Why was he still a leader, when he didn’t want to be a leader? He began looking for a way out, an escape from the tension and stress. Seeing the children of Delta and Kin, eventually, mewling up at him. Those were supposed to be his kits.
Lemon, one morning, sat upon the sandpaper-covered flooring of one of the surviving rooms of the house. He was staring at a small wooden stick he’d found. It smelled sort of like fire, but he couldn’t figure out how it worked… Something to do with the red stuff on one end? Behind him, Delta came in quietly and purred, rubbing against the leader. Lemon told him to leave- Delta had a mate now. He wasn’t going to be the cat Delta cheated on someone with… Delta had kids now that were almost a month old, even. Delta gave him a disappointed sigh, rubbing against him again. Lemon got quite angry all of a sudden- the chausie could not have both him and Kin, no matter how much he wanted it. Lemon had been giving the cat everything he wanted for too long now, and he wasn’t going to do that to Kin. The leader turned suddenly, an action that sent the match skidding across the rough floor with immense force. Lemon hissed at Delta as some pine needles caught fire behind him, unbenounced to the angry feline. He lunged at the cat who’d once been his lover, with the full intent of killing him. Cats had died before when Lemon valued Delta’s life over the colony’s… But neither of those matter to him anymore. Delta was a tough cat, who fought back without hesitation, but Lemon was stronger and more skilled from his work as their leader. It was immediately clear that this was a battle to the death, but there was also never doubt about who would win. Delta crumpled to the ground in defeat, passing out from exhaustion and blood loss. It was only then that Lemon heard the screams of the colony cats and felt the immense heat… The fire had spread, and in fact, was working on consuming the floor he stood on. Kittens cried out for their mothers, who leapt in and out of the flames. Lemon jumped out the window, turning to face the blazing fire in shock. The roof began to collapse in, cats screaming louder. The smoke was already enough to suffocate anyone in there… As it appeared, only about 10 of the 100 cats had made it out. Kin and one of her kits, as well as a few of the hunters and one guard. They hadn’t spotted him, and they never would.
Lemon booked it as 90 cats burned to death in the house he’d found for them. He was definitely going to hell someday.

[Lemon would never know, but it would later be admitted by Kin that Delta had gone up there to kill him anyways and take his place. Delta wasn’t one to be an idiot and overstay his welcome as Lemon’s man when it became clear Lemon was no longer accepting him as that.]
[Also Delta and Kin are definitely totally not Adder’s parents.]
