Personality:
Hyper: Candy rises before the sun, bouncing on her friends to keep her company. She hardly sleeps, acting at night much like a restless child. When up in the middle of the night, she'll yowl like a wolf at the moon and end up giggling at herself for the silliness of it. During the day, bless your heart, you'd wish she had a muzzle. She talks a mile a minute and her words can often overlap, coming out as nonsense though she seems to expect you to understand it. Be ready to play because she's quick to literally jump onto the backs of her friends and wrestle with them, or play more child-friendly games like hide-and-seek or racing. Wearing her down is almost impossible, because even if her body gets tired, her mouth keeps on running with voiced thoughts, questions and jokes. She's the type who will talk to herself and be mad at you for interrupting those very important conversations over what's for dinner!
Slow: A gentle word Candy's friends use when describing her to new cats. A result of an inbred pair of an inbred pair, this beautiful feline has a very limited train of thought, and she can't learn as quickly as others. Despite the care her friends use to explain her inability to do most tasks correctly, she is able to be aware of these faults and admits she's in no way "smart". Saying out loud that she's dumb won't be overlooked by her; though lagging in knowledge for her age, she isn't a purely stupid cat. Yes, she's sloppy in everything she does and makes a mess of everything, but she has a habit of making it all look cute enough to forgive. Though she often travels away when her friends are busy, Candy generally stays around other cats or in their territory, just as scared of being alone as she is aware she's not suited for a lone-wolf lifestyle. Don't be afraid to ask if she understands all of what you said just a second ago, as long as it's addressed gently Candy embraces the fact she needs special care.
Blunt: Candy has absolutely no filtering system. She says what she thinks and doesn't really care how you take her honesty or opinion when you ask for it. Her friends are always having to shut her up or apologize for her vulgar wording of things. She points out things she shouldn't, like a scar or missing eye; anything that's unusual. She doesn't do it to make fun of them, it's simply an observation that she doesn't know how to not say to their face. Most would log it in their mind; Candy has to say it, it's almost a form of defense for her. When she notices something like that, not only is she realizing it's a unique trait, but she's recognizing that she was able to pick out that detail. In an attempt to not over-look something and come across as dumb she makes sure she's heard noticing these things. Although she can sometimes just be blunt for the sake of not wanting to explain. For example when questioned if she has a mate, for her beauty surely attracts the boys, she'll say it's not that she doesn't like boys, it's just that she doesn't like their junk.
History:
Candy was thought to be stillborn, but with much effort from her mother she drew a breath and came alive, never to slow down into a calm again. She had two brothers and three sisters, and all of them bullied her. Candy was no push-over though, and she got into fights with her siblings every time they'd say something rude. As a kitten, no one really noticed anything strange about Candy. But, as she grew, her parents saw something worrisome. The six-month-old was acting like a two-month-old, asking questions over and over, trying things she knew she couldn't do, and remaining restless and hyper. Her brothers and sisters weren't particularly normal either, but even among them Candy stood out as the most troubled.
Six months old was the oldest her parents would see her, however. Both were killed by a pack of dogs when trying to defend their juveniles after hiding them. Slowly the siblings came out of their hiding spot to find the mangled remains of their parents. Knowing only each other despite their rocky relationships, the siblings moved on and found a wild blood-line clan of six. They were welcomed because of their sad circumstances, and Candy grew there, staying after her siblings left because she connected to the leader of the clan, who had birthed a child much like Candy. Though she still technically lives with this off-the-radar family, Candy wanders a lot and usually brings one of her "step-sisters" or brothers to see the sights. Though the leader has a special connection, she is also trying to find Candy a real family. Despite her sexuality Candy was told about the need to reproduce, and though she doesn't look at any tom for the sake of looking, her eagerness to meet new cats and make friends make the search much easier. Candy remembers to mention the "good" toms she finds to her adoptive mother, but then it is gone from her mind and she from there goes about her usual crazy days.
