History: Born in a litter of six, there was plenty of reason for the kits to be independent from a very young age. The second he was able to open his eyes and walk on his own paws, it was like Phrix was ready to be out in the world. He was born into a human home, and spent most of his time exploring or staring out the window at the big world. He had heard many stories of what was beyond his house, but he never got to see it from the window. Phrix stayed in the house with his mother, father, and siblings until the time came for the kittens to go off to new homes.
One by one, his siblings were taken by other humans and brought away. When his turn came, he fought like a lion, managing to escape the grasp of the female human and racing for the door. He was only about 7 months old at the time, but enough to survive on his own. Life was hard for the young kitten. He had to fight for everything. Scraps of food, shelter, survival. In time, he learned how to hunt, survived a natural disaster, and saw the world through different eyes.
Seeing him today, no one would realize the helpless cat he had been only three years earlier.
