FOR ALMOND |
DODGER tom cat • 4-5 years • loner suggested photo set Dodger is the adopted father of Buck and Almond. He and his mate Ivy, took the two kittens in after their own single kit was stillborn. There is really no set history here, he could have been anywhere up until he met Ivy about a year ago and planned to have a litter. I would like to keep Ivy as his current mate, as Almond looks to them as the picture, perfect couple. Personality is also wide open, though I see him as being a bit gruff and rough to the eyes, but a protective and kind persona that he only shows to his mate and adopted kits. Ivy she cat • 3-4 years • loner suggested photo set Much like her mate Dodger, Ivy is the adopted mother to Buck and Almond. Her past is a blank slate, though I figure in her young age, Dodger would probably be her first and only mate, the litter with the stillborn being her first. She was two when she met Dodger, but up to that point is a blank slate. I see Ivy as being a little self-conscious and unsure of the world around her. But, she is a sweetheart and leans to Dodger for support most of the time. She sees Buck and Almond as angels sent from above, and she shields them from the dangers of the world, leaving them to believe that everyone is kind and their hearts are pure. This leads her to clash with Dodger about teaching the kittens this way, but in the end, they are truly in love with each other. Buck tom cat • 1 year • loner suggested photo set Buck was the first born in the litter of just he and Almond. Like his sister, the two were abandoned the night they were born and were rescued by Dodger and Ivy. The kittens were shielded from the dangers of the world and were given the perfect picture - all cats can be trusted and are kind. The world is at peace. Of course, this is a lie and unlike his sister, Buck is a little more conscious of the world around him. He doesn't exactly see the world so "cleanly" or "purely" as Almond would put it. He tries to be the bigger cat and protect his younger sister, but in truth, he really doesn't understand the world around him either, but he is much more aware of how cats can be, simply from shadowing his father and refusing to be coddled as much as Almond was. He is very protective of his sister and though she loves to step on his tail and get under his skin, he loves her more than life itself.
